About Me

Hello! I’m Tate Berhorst, a 21 year old illustrator and digital painter.

From a young age I’ve had a passion for drawing, with an emphasis on charcoal sketching. I grew up with a lot of love for video games, tabletop, and movies alongside art which serve as the primary inspiration for all I do now. With time, I began to realize that I wanted to pursue my interests and create visual representations of what had captivated me in my youth.

I typically employ a sketch-like style for my works, however for certain pieces I can also adapt cleaner line art illustration. I also paint digitally as well, with me fusing both of my skills in illustration and painting in some of my works. I love dynamic poses and cinematic angles, often using references from fictional media to create something visually interesting.

I believe one of my best traits as an artist is my willingness to adapt other styles. I am capable of putting in the dedication needed to changing my art style, whether it be for school projects or my personal enjoyment. I am always learning and I know I have much more to learn, but I challenge myself by constantly studying masters in my field and learning how to employ their techniques myself. There are always more things I can imagine and more I can create.

My work is done in Clip Studio Paint or Adobe Photoshop.
